Aqua Lung’s New Latitude XLT™ Features SURELOCK™ Advanced Mechanical Weight System: Form That Doesn’t Sacrifice Function

VISTA, Calif. – Aqua Lung, the leader in scuba diving products, has introduced Sea Quest’s new trademarked and patented Latitude XLT™, a buoyancy compensator (BC) with the SURELOCK™ mechanical weight system that allows divers to drop their weights in a flash.

The Latitude XLT features the same proven mechanical system as some of the most technically advanced BCs on the market, but is offered at just $455. Solidly constructed with the patented SURELOCK technology, the Latitude XLT features a balanced and integrated weight system that releases with one single instinctive action. The slick-looking BC, available in red/black and black/gray/silver color combos, is made of the rugged Armorshield Cordura with the weight system “integrated” into the jacket, making it functional and comfortable.

Newly-packed with innovative features, the Latitude XLT offers an expansion gusset along the lower perimeter providing additional lift; a waistband that is now adjustable and removable and a new backpack featuring a carrying handle and integrated traction pad to prevent tank slippage.

Divers will welcome the BC’s weight system, featuring pouches on the larger size Latitude XLTs that hold a total of 16 lbs. and a 10 lb. capacity on the smaller sizes; as well as two top-loading, non-ditch rear pockets for additional trim weights. The Latitude XLT allows divers to easily add their loaded weight pockets after suiting up and prepping for their dive, and effortlessly remove the weight before trying to heave themselves out of the water back on to the boat. In the case of an emergency situation, the weights can be pulled out of the jacket and away from the body in a natural motion. This can be accomplished even in a panic.

Other features include: two large zippered utility pockets, chest strap, grommets for knife attachments, right shoulder pull dump for quick and easy deflation. The Latitude XLT is available at most authorized Aqua Lung dealers across the country.
